I came to teaching the long way around.
And I think that's why I love it the way I do.

The shape of a teaching life.
I grew up in a house where mathematics and storytelling each had their own room — and both doors were always open. My father spun folk tales by heart; my mother worked out geometry on the back of envelopes. I was lucky, and I’ve loved them both ever since.
Right out of high school in Hungary, I earned a Master’s in business and spent years in the field, including time as a school administrator. I later trained as a Waldorf teacher at Sunbridge Institute, where I learned to approach every child with compassion, presence, and genuine interest, and to build a curriculum that meets them where they are. I completed my Master’s in Education at SUNY Empire State University at the same time, with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction. Since then, I’ve taught in a Waldorf school and led online classes for homeschool groups. Today, I teach middle school and high school classes at Lotus & Ivy, run seasonal math and art camps, mentor teachers, and tutor privately. In 2024 I joined Sunbridge’s faculty teaching Summer Renewal courses and contributing to the Waldorf Elementary Teacher Education program.
I live in South Florida with my family.

Hand, heart, head.
Waldorf education has a quiet wisdom at its center: children learn most deeply when their hands are engaged, their feelings are stirred, and only then the thinking follows.
That is why my math lessons begin with bodies stepping out a number line. Why fractions arrive on a cutting board, in the form of a star fruit. Why we whittle, paint, sew, and sing as much as we calculate. The thinking that follows this kind of work is patient, embodied, and lasts a lifetime.
I believe in beauty as a teacher in its own right. A well-made main lesson book is not decoration — it’s a child’s first experience of caring for an idea.
